The Canopia ST Biodiverse Plug and Seed System - INVERTED Roof is designed for inverted roofing applications and provides a biodiverse planting scheme with undulating substrate depths to encourage a diverse range of flora and fauna using wildflower /sedum /grass plug plants and seed mix to allow greater flexibility of design. It is suitable for use on specified Icopal root-resistant flat roof waterproofing systems.
The substrate depth provides added ballast weight for inverted roofing applications
Using plug plants and a seed mix allows flexibility in design and species layout
Visually attractive mix of wildflower /grass species which creates great aesthetics
The seed mix is sown between the plug plants to promote further beneficial plant colonisation
The undulating substrate depth of the system encourages a greater diversity of flora and fauna to develop over time
1. Canopia Drainage Board 20
Canopia Drainage Board 20 is used as a water reservoir and drainage board.
2. Canopia Filter Fleece FIL105
Canopia Fliter Fleece 105 is used as a filter fleece to reduce the amount of fines particles reaching the drainage layer, and as a separation layer betwen pebble borders and the growing substrate.
3. Canopia Extensive Substrate
Canopia Extensive Substrate is blended growing medium designed to provide a balance of water retention and drainage to create the ideal root environment for succesful plant growth.
4. Canopia Biodiverse Plug Plants
Canopia Biodiverse Plug Plants are a mixture of wildflowers and grasses supplied as small plugs growing in trays used for planting up green roofs.
6. Canopia Wildflower Seed Mix
Canopia Wildflower Seed Mix is used for sowing onto green roofs to provide a selection of different wildflower species.
7. Canopia Washed Pebbles (20-40mm)
Canopia Washed Pebbles (20-40mm) are natural aggregates used to improve drainage flow rates around green roof details and create vegetation free borders and firebreaks.
Utilises wildflower, sedum and grass plug plants and seed mix within the system
The system contains a varied mixture of different wildflower, sedum and grass species
Undulating substrate depths typically between 80-150mm
Using plug plants and seed mix allows flexibility in design and species layout
Provides visual interest with differing flower colours and leaf forms
Provides a pollen /nectar source for a wide range of invertebrate species
The wildflower /grass seed mix is sown between the plug plants to promote further beneficial plant colonisation
Undulating substrate depths will encourage greater diversity of flora and fauna
