Flame-free bituminous waterproofing system

The Icopal TorchSafe TA system offers an alternative solution to traditional flat roof installation methods. The system can be installed without the use of gas torches therefore eliminating potential risks of fire associated with such methods during application.

The TorchSafe TA system offers an alternative flat roof waterproofing solution, particularly for projects with an identified presence of combustible building materials.  

TorchSafe TA is supported by a range of key benefits:

• Asset Protection - through the removal of potential risks to the building fabric associated with the use of a gas torch during the installation process
• Guarantees available up to 25 years
• Reduction of roll weight with Syntan technology - 300g/m2 of sand is substituted by 15g/m2 of Syntan coating
• Low temperature flexibility -  retained membrane flexibility at low temperatures in accordance with EN 1109 successfully achieving -15°C
• Resistance to wind uplift - calculated in accordance to BS EN 1991-1-4: A1 & UK National Annexes
• Broof(t4) compliant
• BBA Certification - The TorchSafe TA system incorporates products holding BBA Certificates 09/4645 - Product Sheets 2 & 4 & 23/6935 - Product Sheet 3
• Contribute to Construction, Design and Management Regulations: 2015 CDM - Specifiers can meet CDM obligations through the removal of potential sources of ignition associated with the use of gas torches during the installation process.
