We're looking for up to 20 roofing apprentices from across the country to join us at the annual BMI Apprentice of the Year competition and test their skills
The winners will receive a cash prize of £1,000 and three year's worth of training support from the BMI Academy, as well as the prestigious title of either BMI Redland Apprentice of the Year in Pitched Roofing or the BMI Icopal Apprentice of the Year in Flat Roofing 2026.

Why you should enter the BMI Apprentice of the Year Competition
Entry Requirements
Entry Requirements
Entrants must be a roofing apprentice or student (in either flat or pitched roofing) currently working towards qualified status and the competition is open to residents of England, Channel Islands, Isle of Man and the Republic of Ireland, aged over 16 years.
Judges will be looking at several aspects of the apprenticeship. From roofing skills to teamwork to general business and leadership skills, the competition is open to apprentices who want to test their skills and learn from renowned and highly experienced industry experts.
The competition takes place over 2-days on Wednesday, July 22nd & Thursday, July 23rd 2026, at the BMI Academy in Gloucestershire.
