Supply Planner Montfoort

YOUR ROLE

We are looking for an analytical and communicatively strong Supply Planner to take charge of our cross-border planning activities. You will be part of a team of 6 dedicated Planners based in Montfoort, collaborating closely with a larger, international planning team across various countries and nationalities. 

In this role, you are responsible for the supply plan from third parties, including external suppliers (10%) and BMI plants in other countries (90%), through rigorous processes. Ensuring the correct inventory profile for the respective business unit is key to guaranteeing a high service level for BMI customers. You work continuously to improve the reliability and stability of the supply plan to achieve these performance targets. 

As a Supply Planner at our dynamic international company you play a key role in building the Master Supply Plan in IBP, optimizing inventory and maximizing service levels. You are data and systems savvy, managing cross-border supply and demand flows. In this role you serve as the critical link between information, execution and strategy, ensuring our supply chain runs smoothly. The position demands a proactive approach, strong analytical skills and a commitment to fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making and effective cross-functional collaboration through our S&OE and S&OP business processes.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES 

Key responsibilities for the Supply Planner in Montfoort are:

Support the Supply Review Meeting (SRM),  Supply Chain Execution and Supply Balancing meeting, within the S&OP cycle, by:

  • Building a Master Supply plan in IBP, optimising inventory and maximising service levels;
  • Ensuring that master data and planning parameters (target safety stock, service level, lead times) are updated and correct;
  • Supporting budget planning, building 18 months rolling supply plan and running scenarios in alignment with third parties/suppliers;
  • Providing relevant input on different supply scenarios (risks, opportunities, planning parameters, inventory projections) and driving cross-functional alignment and decisions;
  • Delivering relevant KPI’s, including performance measures of third parties;
  • Deploying inventory policy to optimise network inventory planning.

Actively participate in the S&OE (Sales and Operations Execution) by:

  • Maintaining and sharing relevant performance KPIs;
  • Informing the S&OE team on potential stock outs and actions.
  • Running ad-hoc analysis to manage supply shortages and/or demand unexpected fluctuations;
  • Building weekly PR/STR plans and tracking late POs/STOs to solve delays;
  • Resolving supply imbalances ( stockouts and overstocks), by adjusting purchase plans and/or transport plans;
  •  Liaising consistently with suppliers to manage execution of purchase plan;
  • Collaborating with the relevant functions to manage the emergency(ies) and develop action plans.

YOUR CANDIDATE PROFILE

The ideal candidate is or has:

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics/Administration, Mathematics or a related field;
  • A minimum of 2 years of working experience in a similar Supply Chain Planning role;
  • Fluent in English (command of local Dutch language is an advantage);
  • Good understanding of E2E supply chain processes;
  • Highly analytical and data-driven with a strong business acumen and problem-solving aptitude to translate complex data into actionable and strategic insights;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, effectively engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels while functioning well in a direct, results-oriented and international organisation;
  • Well organized and has a strong attention to detail, enabling to prioritize and manage tight deadlines and efficiently run effective cross-functional meetings;
  • Agile and independent and is able to prioritize and consistently build standards while thriving in a dynamic environment;
  • Self-aware, takes responsibility and maintains an open, fair, and respectful approach when collaborating across the organization;
  • (Strong) understanding of planning in ERP/SAP; SAP IBP experience is preferred;
  • Advanced ability to work with Excel or Google Sheets and PowerPoint or Google Slides;
