BMI Redland Cambrian Slate were chosen as it achieves the timeless look of a classic roof that will actually improve with age – just like the real thing. All BMI Redland Cambrian Slate are not only manufactured in Wales, but are also made up of 60% recycled natural slate, making them some of the most environmentally friendly resin slates available. The 2008 Green Guide to Specification awards generic resin slates an A-rating when part of standard roof constructions.

Mike Camilleri, Director of M Camilleri & Sons Roofing Ltd, said: “We used Redland Cambrian slates as they were specified by the architect. We also made use of dry fixing methods with Redland’s Universal Angle Ridges and Hips and a Redland Uni-Vent Rapid Ridge/Hip system. Using this method meant we took 6 weeks to complete the 1950m² roof on schedule and we had no problems whatsoever.” BMI Redland Cambrian Slate is designed with a unique threepoint fixing, making it suitable for even the most exposed sites.
