Canopia ST Sedum Mat System - INVERTED Roof

The Canopia ST Sedum Mat System - INVERTED Roof is designed for inverted roofing applications to provide a low-maintenance, and drought-tolerant green roof solution, suitable for use on specified Icopal root-resistant flat roof waterproofing systems.

  • The increased substrate depth provides added ballast weight for inverted roofing applications

  • The use of a pre-grown sedum mat provides instant plant coverage

  • Having different sedum species creates a range of flowering colours and leaf forms

  • Drought tolerant sedum species are an excellent choice for exposed roof locations

  • The pre grown sedum mat covers the whole surface of the growing substrate, thereby reducing the opportunity for unwanted weed growth

Canopia Drainage Board 20 is used as a water reservoir and drainage board.

Canopia Fliter Fleece 105 is used as a filter fleece to reduce the amount of fines particles reaching the drainage layer, and as a separation layer betwen pebble borders and the growing substrate.

Canopia Extensive Substrate is blended growing medium designed to provide a balance of water retention and drainage to create the ideal root environment for succesful plant growth.

Canopia Aluminium Edge Detail (100mm) is an 100mm high aluminium angle, used to retain green roof build up and separate it from other areas including pebble borders. Suitable for use on roofs with a maximum pitch of 5 degrees.

Canopia Aluminium Connector (100mm) is required to fix the lengths of Canopia Aluminium Edge Detail (100mm) together. One connector is required per section of trim.

Canopia Washed Pebbles (20-40mm) are natural aggregates used to improve drainage flow rates around green roof details and create vegetation free borders and firebreaks.

System attributes

  • Deeper substrate depth than a standard sedum system

  • System uses a pre-grown sedum mat

  • Sedum plants are drought tolerant

  • Mixture of different sedum species within the mat

  • The pre-grown sedum mat covers the whole substrate surface

System benefits

  • Substrate depth provides added ballast weight for inverted roofing applications

  • Provides instant visual impact

  • Ideal vegetation for exposed roof locations

  • Provides visual interest with differing flower colours and leaf forms

  • Total ground coverage minimises unwanted weed growth
