I joined the company over 10 years ago as an apprentice, following my Engineering Degree.
BMI Group operates all over the world in many different sectors, and the opportunity for learning and development really attracted me.
I originally started under the Braas Monier name. However, when the company became part of BMI Group, there was real clarity in the company strategy. This, combined with the promise to keep people as our main priority, has helped us to grow into the successful global company we are today.
Becoming Plant Manager in 2014! I was only 26 years old at the time, but BMI put their trust in my abilities and saw my potential.
Every morning, we sit down to analyse the key safety, quality and production performance indicators from the day before. I then tour the plant and speak to all the departments to define the priorities of the day. In the afternoon, I will often meet with different team members to review our monthly action plans and discuss how various projects are progressing and produce reports and analysis on different data. However, the fundamental pillar of my daily job is to communicate with people at the plant to ensure we are meeting the high-quality standards BMI is known for.
