We can offer expert advice to architects, ensuring complete roofing systems that will meet the challenges and functionality of any design without compromising your aesthetic vision.

Building Information Modelling

Architects have been embracing 3D software for several years. However, attaching manufacturer digital product information to the relevant construction build-up within the model is still an emerging opportunity. BMI Group has strong in-house capability covering the leading architecture software authoring tools such as Autodesk Revit, ArchiCAD Graphisoft and the IFC standard. We have developed BIM objects for a number of our leading markets and have experts on hand to advise architects and developers on their specific digital information and graphical requirements.

Design advice and calculation services

Our range of services also includes generating individual system specifications based on your unique design criteria. We’ll provide detailed drawings to show critical interfaces, calculate insulation thermal values and conduct condensation risk analysis, as well as recommend appropriate solutions. With a range of high performance reinforced vapour control layers, sealants and accessories we can ensure your roofing systems remain appropriately air and vapour tight. Our range of roof safety and fall protection systems can also be designed and installed to accommodate the specific requirements of your design, without compromising waterproofing integrity.

Fast access to trusted product information

Our technical advisory service offers you experienced guidance to answer queries on any aspect of roofing and waterproofing design or best practice.

Long term relationships

We have built mutually beneficial long term relationships with many architect practices in several of our leading markets. To take one example, we help architects see further through our partnership with the Danish School of Architecture and our sponsorship of the ‘The Icopal Prize’ which we have supported since 1986. The ceremony takes place at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and is the most prestigious award for Danish architecture students.
